Plan To Succeed or Plan To Fail!!!

I remember hearing this phrase in the military and in the corporate world "Prior planning can prevent piss poor performance".
This was often said after observing a cluster event happen that could have been mostly avoided with a little forethought on the part of the poor soul responsible for allowing said cluster to take place.
I then realized that people are great planners and almost always get the results of their efforts. The difference is some Plan to Succeed and others Plan to Fail. I also understood in that moment that I would have no one to blame but myself for either of these outcomes happening in my life.
When it comes to prepping we know the importance of that phrase. We Take Action Now to ensure when the "S-H-T" hits the fan that we at least have more options at our disposal than the unprepared masses. We are doing our best to think through all contingencies, getting resources and putting together plans that can help us, our loved ones and some of the unprepared masses survive these crises situations.
Three things you want to consider when making your own success action plan:
1. Redundancy. How many backup plans do you have in place? How much backup equipment do you have? The greater the redundancy the higher the probability you will not be caught flat footed during a crises. Consider having multiple bags to help improve your redundancy and odds of survival.
2. Resilience. You must build up your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual reserves so you can successfully navigate and pivot from crises to crises. This type of resilience enables you to withstand the "ups" and "downs" that accompany these type of crises situations. How long can you endure right now? If you get stressed out at a little inconvenience today how do you think you would be able to handle the stress from a life or death situation? How about when the "S-H-T" really does hit the fan?
3. Refine, Review and Revise your plans. Never be at the mercy of your original plans. The first thing you want to do is actually write out your plan. Second, you have to test and validate that you have a realistic viable plan that has a good shot at helping you to survive your identified crises situations. Third, think about multiple A to Z situations that you have not planned for and make this your Plan B. This is a rigorous process designed to account for the variances that will certainly happen as you go through a crises situation. Refer to your plan and test and revise as new circumstances happen.
Remember the most important thing you can do if you plan to succeed and not to fail is to Take Action Now!
