Wake Up! Look at all the the civil, environmental, and global unrest taking place before you. Do you care about your family? Do you want to be a victim of the circumstances? Do you want to be at the mercy of others because you were not prepared?
Our motto at Blackout Preppers is "Prepare If You Care". We feel that the most important responsibility a person has is to do everything within their means to proactively anticipate crises and hazards and then to take massive action that contributes to a higher probability of survival when "S-H-T" hits the fan. We believe you do care or you would still not be reading this Blog.
We can never predict the future but we can always prepare for it. This prepared mindset can be turned into a daily discipline that gives you a greater sense of control and direction in your life. It can mean the difference between life and death for you and your family. This is the essence of Living A Prepared Life.
So, where do you start?
1. Start with the basics of ensuring you have adequate Food, Water, Shelter, Medical Supplies, Backup Power and Emergency Communications.
2. Think about and then write down in detail the absolute worst case scenario you see happening to you or your family. Make a note of what that would mean if it happens tomorrow? How prepared are you and your family Now? Be brutally honest about where you are so you can best prepare for this scenario. In many cases, you may need to leave your home with very little time. In another scenario, you may not be able to leave your home.
3. We recommend having a way to stay informed and connected with the outside world. We recommend getting an emergency survival solar hand crank radio. Simply turn the crank to power the Radio and stay current on weather or other emergency updates. The fact that it is portable and has its own power source makes it an invaluable asset to possess in your survival inventory.
4. Greater peace of mind and confidence in your ability to successfully survive unexpected events will begin to rise. There are no guarantees but the probability of survival will go way up for you and your family.
